.AJ.
Just a slightly updated SCRT10, so share the same crappy arms that break for fun
DazzaClio
I knew you would be the man with some knowledge on these. Well I've ended up with one not a Sct I would be buy from choice that's why I haven't had one already but done someone a favour and for what it owes me I'm happy tbh. It's basically new with a few marks on the arms and a couple of little ones on the chassis. It's not going to be bashed really just an easy life on tracks, fields etc. Do you know the difference between the Scrt 10 and Nexx 10? So weak points are arms anything else? How strong is the drivetrain ie diffs, shafts etc? Thanks.
.AJ.
For the track it will hold up just fine, stupid jumps and bashing will find the weak points of any rc tbh. I'm not sure of the exact differences, but I know for sure that the Nexx has proper sized SC wheels, where as the SCRT had odd sized ones, also they updated the bumpers and shell The only must mod to do to a stock truck is to replace the steering link rod ends for something like traxxas captured rod ends, the stock ones pop off if you look at them wrong lol The drive train is pretty bomb proof, I ran my old SCRT with a Fusion Exceed Ultra on 4s and even with the electrics out of Savvy Flux 2350 on 6s for a laugh and it all held up fine Just read somewhere they also updated the front arms Edited July 27, 2014 by .AJ. .AJ.
Oh and if it's got a plastic front upper arm brace that needs to changed for a alloy one
DazzaClio
Thanks AJ great help. Yeah jumps and bashing defo find the weak spots that's why I'm not using this for that plus I have my other cars for that. Yeah I do remember your Scrt 10. I gave it a quick run the other night on a grass field and tbh I was impressed still got to get it how I want it and give it a good going over, a Sct that actually handles better than a Slash 4x4 in standard form (not hard). I've just been on Hong Nor's website and printed off both the parts list for the Scrt 10 and Nexx 10 then looking at what parts are the same and what are different but it looks like they only give you half the parts list as there's loads not on there. Where's the best place to source parts for these? Thanks.
.AJ.
I used to get my parts from RC Willpower and Special RC on eBay
DazzaClio
After a bit more research I see that A Main Hobbies do a lot of parts and upgrades for them. Well the Nexx 10Sc and the Jammin SCRT 10 which are basically the same other than the Nexx has Pbs and a different colour chassis. I watched a few of Squirrelod's videos on YouTube about the Nexx 10sc and Jammin SCRT 10 which were quite interesting. Thanks.
