R2 Hobbies bodyshells any good?

Looking for a new shell or two, these took my eye as there are so many for such good prices and don't have to worry as much about messing them up. Are they any good though? I don't want an odd proportion car...

I'm looking at the transparent ones by the way, also not sure if they come with light buckets, which I would need

I thought that was the reason :) as long as they are made ok & look not to bad for the price of them, they should be ok for my bashing about needs.

Think I will get a 'premium' shell if you get me, HPI or Pandora etc which will be my show off shell and occasional drift. Probably R32 Skyline, then a couple of shells from r2 which I can practice painting and bash around with.

Tell me what they are like

will do mate, I have a clear original shell what I am going to get sprayed up by someone asap for best :).

these from r2 are just bashing about shells unless they are nice shells then I will remove the stickers & get better ones.

well the shells came on sat afternoon, & they are not bad at all but the shells are sort of on the thin side what is about 0.38 on my digital calipers give or take in some places after I removed some of the protective cover off to measure right.

The main let down is that the spellings ( some of them make me laugh )  let the shells down.

but if it one way to keep the cost down on there end then that is fine for me, the stickers look like they are somehow printed on the shell or when they spray the underside of the shell but I don't fully know as I am still learning about shells .

however as these are bashing shells or knock about ones, not display ones like the rally audi one I will put them on soon & see how long they last after I use some shoe goo & fibre tape.

don't forget I did remove some of the protective cover in the photos.

My friend has the saloon style Subapu one. It took loads of trimming to get it to fit right and they make the car feel really off balance and drift weird. It's crazy how much of a difference a shell makes to how a car runs.
