Tug Posted July 23, 2014 Share Posted July 23, 2014 I've never been keen on cross-mounted motors, it just adds more gears to wear out, in my book at least. It works fine on a 2wd platform, but with 4wd you've got to turn the drive 90 degrees, then you can split it front to rear. With a longitudally mounted motor the drivetrain is simpler, less parts.
