mini-z-awd
worst case it`s a new head piston and ring but you wont know until you take it apart but i will say it could just be the piston and ring if your lucky
vortex666
Hmm,will take it apart as soon as i have some time and upload some pictures Sent from my iPhone ? using Tapatalk
Nitroholic
Definitely stripdown time. Something has gone bang. Could be a number of things...but start with stripping the top end off the motor and having a look. Remove the exhaust first and have a peek inside. If it's gone....you'll see the end result! Clutch and driveline failures can stall a motor....but in the vid, it quit while you were hard on the gas, not under braking.... but before you open up the top...undo the pinion bolt and check your drivetrain. moves freely

kangarilla
did you put nitro glycerine in it instead of 2 stroke ?
walters
I know it don't help but I might be wrong but looks like the pin thing that keep the piston on as come off
Nitroholic
The crankcases are probably fine, and if the debris stayed out of the way....the bearings and oil seals should be ok. As a minimum though, you would be needing a new crank/rod, new piston and head. Might be a good opportunity to pick up a new 4 bolt motor.... like the CY F270 or a Zenoah 29 I have the 27.5 CY 4 bolt, and it's a great motor for the price. vortex666
Not worth fixing, will have to buy a new engine..crankcases are fine, just like nitroholic said, needs new crank/rod piston and head..anyway,i was just wondering what the hell happened...was the engine too hot??not getting enough air due to the mesh mod??cant really figure it out.. Nitroholic
27.2478cc if we stick to 4 decimals for Pi But for the money, it seems to push out a decent balance of power and torque. Better built than a KM engine by a country mile.
vortex666
Right lads, obr 5.5hp pro stock 30.5cc long block on the way, will it be fine with my old walbro wt997 or is it essencial to get a wt990??thanks lads Sent from my iPhone ? using Tapatalk
Nitroholic
Best person to ask would be your engine supplier... I would think the 990 would flow slightly better, you'll just need to learn to start without a choke
