AJ's TLR SCTE 2.0

Recommended Posts

Been hankering for another 4wd SCT for a while, everyone knows I'm a bit of a Traxxarse hater so the Slash was a complete no go for me. That leaves the Tekno and TLR being the only trucks of any quality on the market at the moment. It was a no brainer to go for SCTE 2.0 as the getting the Tekno is a US job only and from reading up on them they are pretty pants

Over the old 1.0 the 2.0 has apart from what you have mentioned

Ti Ni Shock shafts

Ti Ni hinge pins

Hard ano shock bodies

Hard ano shock caps

Flex tuned chassis

HD diff outputs

Alloy chassis braces

Locking hex's

And a few parts have been updated like, diff cases, diff internals, motor mount

I feel like crying every time you do a build :hahadance:

Whoa there chatterbox! That's the longest sentence I've seen you type! ;)

On a serious note, as an ex-racer, how do these cope with bashing? Are they durable?

The 1.0 version are tanks, I ran one hard for around 1.5 years racing and bashing and apart from parts wearing out all I ever broke was bumpers and body mounts, but they only broke bashing hard at bmx tracks. This version is more race inspired but can't see why it won't be just as tough :)

Oh if anyone is after a 1.0 version I know someone with a great condition roller for sale ;)

That's Bag C - centre diff and motor mount

It looks great ide rather see big chunky chassis braces but its probably for weight reasons using those rods. Unless they quickly come out with tlr billet ones. Probably the best looking sct around though.

Good question, I'm not totally sure yet, more than likely it will be a HW Xerun SCT Pro with the 4700kv 4 pole, I do keep looking at the Tekin Pro4 HD 4300kv though, but it maybe completely over the top for the tracks I will run at

Here's mine, more of a shelf queen than serious user, but have to admit its a total pleasure to own and run once in a while.I let the slash take all the hard work but the Losi out of the box is so much better specced.
