I do have one question... Why do touring cars always have such weird looking air filters? Or at least, weird compared to what I'm used to seeing.

i believe it is to increase air flow to get maximum performance from the engine

That makes sense :) figured as much, they're just such an unusual shape some of 'em.

I can see what you mean but almost everyone that races touring cars uses air filters that are of a similar shape!

I've been racing my losi in the large scale nats for a couple of years (this year will be my third season) :0. I live in Leicester and more or less in the middle of two good tracks NDOR and Nene valley raceway which are about 45mins away depending on traffic. I think the nearest on road track to me is about 1:30-2 hours away. :(

Awesome bit of kit that bud. If i was ever to get into racing on road, it'd have to be largescale because of the scale looks alone lol. Shame there aren't any tracks in cornwall that i know of that run 1:5.,,

Race Report: BRCA Round Four, Brooklands. Jarret Williams

Saturday, practice day ahead of a big day of racing on Sunday. An overcast day, but the track is dry, with temperature in the high teens, low twenties, conditions for a great day of testing and practice.

We begin the day with the same settings as we left off from the last race at Brooklands. As the track was a little dusty and very little rubber down, we started with X

This was from maximum service racing the supplier of the RS5 T14 -

Well done to Jarret Williams who finished 3rd at Round 5 of the SERCCC Championship at Brookland Raceway. Driving his Team M.S.R. Supported RS5 T14. Jarret drove brilliantly all day while overcoming small issues between qualifying and Final. Race Report is in the pictures. Very well done to him and his Mechanic/Father Wayne!

Thank you guys for doing us proud.

It has been confirmed that i will be a driver for maximum service racing in the 2015 season driving the new RS5 car when it is released, which is great news, i will be stocking the parts in England and attend all national races and club at Brookland so the will be support in england, so far we have converted three drivers to buy an RS5 and they love it and have no plans of changing!

I've been really tempted to get one of those chargers myself, a couple guys at the club run them and really happy with them.

Congrats on your sponsorship, great news!

I presume that's a 1/5 truck in the photo? Bet you they're a hoot to race?

Hi, yes the charger/tyre warmer combo has been great to me and i got it a bit cheaper on ebay alough they were still brand new in box!

Yes that is a truck to the left but it isn't me racing it that was just in free practice before raceday starts, we have around 5 or 6 of them at the club now, they are an up and coming class and only started back up again this year.

The one i am most looking forward to is the return of F1 and there is 5 ready to race and a few tempted including myself.

Just have a look at this beauty of a car, i think the best looking rc car ever made....
