Personally I just couldn't get on with the Mini8, I find the scale just struggles on anything other than a smooth surface. Looking forward to seeing the M8T's but I won't be jumping into buying one.

To be honest i should really be saving me cash but i got a nice big fat bonus at work today  .. So half's going to the roof fund and the other is going to the rc fund which just so happens gives me enough for this little beauty and some left over for the HoBao MT when it comes out

If the Losi has the same sort of ground clearance as a 1/10 buggy, then it will be a little cracker.

I sold my Mini8 and bought a Vaterra Kemora as I was running it mostly on tarmac or hard packed earth. The Kemora looks more like a car and is waterproof.

But...if this had been out...I would have got one of these instead! The only issues I ever had with the little Losi was the ground clearance. Just hope they have left scope for a slightly bigger motor can.

Chassis is a good bit longer so that might grant a little extra room for a larger or longer motor atleast.

A bit of Dremel work will easily sort that

Not going to cut up a new truck just to fit a bigger can there are other options to gain extra clearance that require no cutting of the the truck .. I'm hoping that the motor does a good job and is geared better than the original mini8, but yes running a stock size can has it limits although i dont intend to stay with it for long if i do get one ..

Going of his pic i don't see a slightly longer can being any trouble but the diameter is the one that is a problem like on the buggy

Also looks like with a bit of playing around you can gain some extra space for a longer battery pack and there is much more clearance on the top plate than the buggy if you really wanted to open it up

For those of us thinking of getting a Mini 8ight T have a read of this thread seems like the motor issue from the buggy is not better but worse and the same old story with the servo, have to say this has just put me right off so i'm going to hold off getting one for a while as we all know the mini 8ight is a bit of a PITA to find a decent size motor to fit

Reading on other forums there having issues, to use lipo you need to swap to a 12t pinion thats stated in the manual but still people are getting heat problems, they should have put a bigger motor in this instead of using the 24mm size because it is not far of tge size of a 1/10 buggy and already people are trying to fit bigger cans in there but it is a tighter fit than the m8 buggy apparently?

Ive been patiently waiting on this, but I dont really want to buy it and have to replace the motor and maybe the esc.

Would the motor out a mini 8 buggy fit? I still use mine and it goes great on 2s with no issues.

I just cant believe they have geared this for the nimh. I never even used my nimh with the buggy as im sure a lot of folk didnt
