Syncro
Track practice with my Venom GPV1 on Radshape RC's new carpet track. The track isn't really suited for 1/8 scale bikes as it's quite tight. But was pretty pleased that I managed to get some laps in. http://youtu.be/byzjFG6xO0A
Smokein Joe
Nice riding there, Syncro. How does the Venom stack up against the Kyosho?
Syncro
Which Kyosho mate? The Mini z or the 1/8 scale 'HOR'? The Mini z bikes are brilliant. Quite easy to get the hang of really as it's fitted with an e-gyro to stabilize it. But, need a very smooth surface because of their size (1/18 scale) I've not run my Kyosho HOR yet, still building it. I don't expect it to be at the cutting edge of performance as they're an early nineties design. But, they're meant to be more of an Rc model really. That said, there's a fair amount of tune up parts available and can perform pretty well so I've read. The venom 1/8 scale is great but needs practice to get to grips with as it has no gyro. But when you get to grips with it they're a great bike. Loads of tune up parts still available.
Smokein Joe
Cheers, It's the HOR I'd love to see it compared with. I've never really considered Mini Z because I can only run outdoors.
Syncro
Shouldn't be long before it's up and running.
R46
the hor a toy compared too gpv1, hor can't handle brushless power, body fitment is a joke, frame is brittle had 4 hors build up with kyosho hop ups an aftermarket parts but still was poor, sold them off an focused on my gpv1 tremendous bike Edited April 20, 2014 by R46
Syncro
As I say, I'm not expecting or wanting high performance from the HOR. just finding them an interesting model really. Got my gpv1 for performance. Don't expect it to be anywhere near that.
