FG Marder gets a light run

put a higher gearing on her now, kills low end but top end becomes stupidly quick.

 

 

shortly after the finial clip of the vid the gear carrier which is plastic melted and the layshaft rounded off the center and lost drive, will be replacing it with an alloy one when i can afford it.

 

 

what i would like to do is replace all the remaining plastic parts with alloy ones, but i won't do that until i'm used to the way it handles and don't crash it as often

I'd bin the gear carrier altogether mate and get blackbone steel gears, I spent time using plastic gears etc but the steel gears are a lot stronger no grub screws no carrier slide straight onto your lay shaft, there usually 40 quid a pair new well worth the money!
