Lee_m
Hi peeps I'm sure this has been done but i could not find much about it, I bought a full set on Hostile Dogbone Boots from MMR Largescale The reason i changed the boots is because they had split 'well one had anyway' lol So, thought i would take some pictures with the iphone 'other phones available' as i was doing the second drive shaft If this is c@ap and not needed on the forum just remove it lol So, one drive shaft end, need to remove the pin as the new boot will not fit over the end This was my idea on how to remove the pin and its in there REALLY WELL Small socket on one side and using the vice apply pressure to it and the pin with move Pin has moved then youll need somthing small to push the pin out the rest of the way i used a small torx bit Pin nicely removed WD40 inside the new boot Push the new boot onto the drive shaft Thats one side done now onto trying to get the other side on Push the small end of the boot inside, 'like in the picture' Its really hard to push on but keep working at it Now pull the boot the right was around Need to get the pin back in now so just do it in reverse but without the torx bit all done BEER TIME Edited April 15, 2014 by Lee_m

RCbutcher
I just put some on my fg just by pulling them over, out of 4 only one split slightly but ther cheap boots from ebay $4 for six i think. Im glad I've seen this tho so when the pins wear down can you just buy new pins or mayb find something else to wedge in. Titanium rod or something.
