Interesting.....

clearly this is the waterproof alternative to the EZRun ....

Never been clear on a waterproof fan though. Are the fan motors that susceptable to water damage?

Price is on a par with the existing product, so it's just a question of whether it can take the load of a big motor, or if it's limited to shorter cans. Still...a 4274 is not bad.

Ah, now I prefer long can, low kv motors. I've also been led to believe the existing Xerun can handle the mighty 1717 without breaking a sweat, so I reckon I can live without this, especially as my wet-running days are over.

Usual non water proof fan though :(  and if it's anything like the Xerun to remove,... says also 4274 size motor or smaller too.  Though does say for buggy ;)

Take a look at the last pic the fan wire is unplugged It plugs in the same way the SC8 wp does so is a piece of cake to unplug and remove and makes programming much more easy to access

As for a waterproof fan as far as i'm aware even the sc8 and the castle waterproof esc dont have a waterproof fan.

Some pluses and some minuses but differently aim towards a kick in the teeth for the new waterproof Castle stuff i'd say

Modelsport have these listed and have done for a week or so.

Says on order with supplier, my mate has bought one from Modelsport which is meant to be turning up tomorrow.

I look forward to seeing it and how well it holds up.

Regarding the fans on my Wp Sc8 I've just unplugged the fan when going in rivers, streams etc and then plugged it back in after and it's been fine.

Thanks.

They have been about since before Xmas on rcecho. I thought about it but didnt like the can restriction as I run a 4092 in a maxx. Great for something like a hyper though, although my sc8 is quite happy in the maxx.

looks good! ive had a few xeruns and still got a ezrun but most my cars are now mamba monster but im terrified to go near water! i also use corrosion x on every thing from esc to rx and servos works a treat on low voltage but when running 6S it can still pop if you submerge as thats what happen to one of my xeruns car fell into a massive puddle and i couldn't see it it was under water for a good 10 seconds and still tried to drive out when i got close to the car and spun up fine in my hand but i just switched it off and didnt unplug lipos and about 10 seconds after it started to smoke! but ive tested an RX in a sink under water and works and ive tested an old mobile as well... very weird seeing a phone ring under water haha!

ive ran my ezrun in the rain and all sorts and the corrosion x seems to hold up fine with splash and small bits going into the esc and it still works this day, but it will only be waterproof to a point! but better than none!  but might still like to try this esc just so i can drive it with out 2 much worry and as some 1 else just said would be fun to just drive in a stream or something lol

thats working well under water mate!! did you do any thing to the lipos?? balloons ? as i always thought even if esc is water proof lipos would still short out under water... ? but seems to be working well with yours in that video! ive ran my ezrun in pouring rain and big puddles but not like that!!! but my losi 8ight T went under water and sat there for a good 10 seconds as i said before and was still working when i pulled it out then died 15 seconds later as i didn't unplug the lipos... opened it up and main transistors blown to bits! that was with corrosion X still .... so ive always thought after that corrosion X would only work to a point and maybe because of the higher voltage but ive tested stuff in a sink of water with 6v stuff and seems to work but didn't have much luck submerging with 5S power into an esc under water!  but yours is running fine lol!
