Recommended Posts

Hello all ive just bought the ecx ruckus and im feeling more speed haha. Im led to believe that its a 380 motor standard. Is this the size? So all ill need to get a 380 brushless motor and a different speed controller? Also im guessing im going to need a lipo battery upgrade aswell? Im new to this and dont really understand what is needed. Any parts websites would be appreciated as I want to upgrade my shocks too really. Many thanjs Josh.

Ive read its a 2mm Ill ring modelsport tomorrow as I bought it from there. My next question is receiver lol. My car has a esc and receiver combo. do I need to buy a receiver now aswell? The plug from my esc is the same as the one on the servo so theres no way of just plugging them in. Cheers Josh.

The 2mm is the shaft size. Yeah, you'll need a new receiver. Best ask MS what to get as I don't know what type.

You gonna post some pics?

They are! They have everything in stock and fast delivery. My next problem is ive assembled everything and set the new radio gear and speed controller up. Took it for a blast it was great. I then went too take it for a blast again and it didnt move. It sounded like the motor was spinning but nothing else so I checked it and was all fine I then powered it up and spun the wheels fast and wont stop. Ive checked and all the dials on my controller are fine. Im guessing its the esc? Its an mtroniks micro g2 esc brushless 370 6500kw motor and 2s lipo battery. Many thanks josh.

I've had problems in the past with the ruckus' rear differential. You may have possibly rounded out the plastic out drive gear that the drive axle goes into. If you take apart the differential, you will know what I am talking about. The drive shaft slides into the out drive gear and is attached with a screw. Make sure that screw is tight and that the plastic gear is not rounded out where the drive shaft goes into it.
