Wolverhampton/ Dudley bashers?

Hi,

Over the last few months i've been to various tracks and joined a club which ended up closing down but all of them were/ are quite far out from where i live in the Wolverhampton/ Dudley area so its just too much of a mission at times so i decided to look for decent outdoor bashing spots near me and i came across a great new BMX track in Bilston with tarmac banked turns with a lightly gravelled humped track. I took a quick video of it this morning (excuse the dodgy driving lol... i let my misses have a go)

I also found another decent gravelled oval track in Bilston which is indended for cycle speedway but everytime i've been over, it's been empty so i gave my Revo a good thrashing round it ;)

Anyway, if anyone fancies a meet up over either one for a bash, let me know. would be a good laugh to bash on there with other cars

It's in Bradley not far from the back of Morrisons. To be fair, it is a great place and on my doorstep plus theres a massive field connected to it to go full throttle on! ;)

Where do you normally bash/ race?

Nowhere in particular to be fair- I only get chance to have a run about every so often thanx to work!

I usually end up dodging the house bricks and dog turds on the waste ground in Featherstone! :yucky:

I think I might know where you mean so I'll have a mooch on Google Maps...

dodging turds LOL.

JUst looked up where it is, its off Bankfield Road, Bilston.

I'm the same with work but i get a lot of time off during week days as well which is usefull for taking the car out so there are less kids around to mow down ;)

Is it a new track?

It doesn't seem to be on Google Maps...

Either that or I'm looking in the wrong place! :whistling:

Do you know what road it's off?

it doesn't show on Google maps that there is bike track but its probably because its new but basically if you find Bankfield Road, it is litterally to the left of it on the map

Nice1!

I guessed it was around there somewhere due to all the wasteland.

Gonna have to get myself down there at some point-I'll give you a shout on here if I can pre-plan anything!

Thanx again!

Was just going to drop a new thread up asking if anyone on here was from Walsall or surrounding areas and found this :D

That BMX track looks perfect for RC bashing but i bet it gets busy with kids on the weekend...

So far round my way I have only found an old / almost un usable BMX track over barr beacon and a skate part at the back of oak park leisure centre, both during school hours so nice and quiet.

The lunchbox doesnt jump very well.. well it jumps but never lands without crashing, i'm picking up a Traxxas Raptor after christmas so have been looking for places to go.

Hi I'm new to the forum but also from wolves/Dudley area. If you guys can suggest places to race/bash a touring car that would be great. Would this oval you speak of be any good for a tourer? Cheers lads.
