hi, after stripping out my fastrax cage, i have decided to go for a more "scale rig" the aim is to compete in class 1 of the scale comps i attend, class 1 being something you would see on the road.

this is what i have up to now, axial scx10 axles, rear has alloy lockouts and the front has cvd`s alloy knuckles and c-hubs. junfac carbon steel driveshafts, all steel internals in the gearbox with a tekin 45t motor running a 20t pinion and 80t spur, some rc4wd copy mud thrashers.

electrics wise as yet, tekin 45t motor, savox 1256tg servo for steering, castle creations 10amp bec. 3 racing winch

as for whats ordered and coming, complete new scx10 chassis, rc4wd 1.9" oem beadlocks in black, land rover defender 90 hard body, tekin fxr esc.

then comes the add-ons, i have a sam fisher from splinter cell figure, 2 axial corbeau racing seats from a wraith, it will have steel bumpers and rock slider which will incorparate the body mounts too, led light kit.

this is now,

which would you go for and why??

already built one of these before but was too afraid to run it, this will be used but not submerged in water! (i have another for that)

thanks for looking, gaz.

I'd go for the red, Think these HK hard bodied landies look awesome just as standard without adding loads of roughty toughty bits.

Hopefully see you at the next scale comp ill be doing class 1 too.

my lexan bodied land rover scx10 (which could be classed as more scale than a dingo) was in class 2 as is the honcho, class 1 is hard bodies.

ask igbandy mate, unless they have changed/changing the classes, you will be in class 2.

well back on topic,

scored a nice rc4wd punisher driveshaft for the front, so i ordered a matching one from the u.s for the rear, these are huge compared to standard or junfac ones but i do like them, had a set on another rig and worked well. all this extra weight low down can only help the cause.....

also ordered the paint from modelsport last night too, im not wanting to say until its painted but i will update when the first batch of parts come through......
