Ive seen a fair few people making engine heaters and a few useing blow tourches to heat them.
So has anyone tried sticking i tin iver the engine but rather then useing a bulb heat the tin with a mini blow torch so its not directly at the engine surely that would protect the engine from the direct flame.
Just an idear havnt tried it yet.

Nah dont do that blow torches will melt something! you may aswell just use a hair dryer! Cheaper and less effort or even better just let the engine heat it-self up.....

here is what you do..... go to screw fix or any other generic diy place and buy a plug in lightbulb lead, about 5 quid, cut a hole in a bean can and screw the bulb into it as if it was a light shade.. and boom you have a homemade engine heater, and if your real clever you can even make it look pretty, or if your looking for one to fit in your car cigarette lighter then you need a slightly different one but at the same price, yes it does work and yes ive made both, just sharing the idea and good luck!!

The only reason I had the idear is that I dont drive need to at some point.
Il stick to the hair dryer before i go out will try and look for some sort of thermo cover for the engine head something that holds better then a sock lol.
