Similar problems with my Trophy 3.5 - beginning to think I am jinxed...
- failed steering servo (gears stripped) during break in (day 2) on grass football pitch - servo replaced
- both bolts fallen out of steering servo linkage (somewhere in playing field)
- throttle servo failure (buggy took off over the horizon into bushes) - replaced servo
- steering arm / hub bolt on LHS fell out (fortunately no dammage)
- steering arm bolt on RHS fell out, this time the buggy veered to one side and smashed into kerb, cracking both front wheels. Steering arm thread is stripped - awaiting new wheels and steering casting
Not good for 6 outings on grass football pitch / playing field with a brand new buggy!!
Looks like I need to go over all fixings with threadlock as I dont trust anything else dropping off.

i would sell it and get a hyper 7 mate tbh.
Getting rid of an unreliable truggy with a probably even more unrealiable buggy isn't very good advice
Also love how it's name is a HPI Trophy Truggy and everyones calling it a buggy
But yeah, nigh on EVERY new bought RC will NEED upgrades, they just do, otherwise they'd have stupid price tags.
Best thing to do is buy a nice spec, good condition pre-owned, or build it yourself.
Either that or the very wise thing and move to electric.

I can't comment on the hypers never had or used one my trophy seems to be going strong well steering servo went first tank after break in then all the other problems its had was cause of me and my skills although wen i changed the steering servo over i check all the screws and it shocked me to see how many were lose enough to undo by hand!
