Ok so this is my first EVER review of anything so bare with me a little :whistling:

So i had one of thes baby's sent to me from Lee ( jolly-roger-uk ) and when it arrives in the packet i got this.
Switch Blade killswitch.
Wires.
L.E.D. ( Blue ) and very bright
Clips
Fitting Instructions.
All in a nice clear sealed bag

So from what i could see this switch is well presented with easy to read and understand instructions the switch itself is heatshrinked and all wires pre installed ready to fit so the only thing you need to do is fit the switch itself.

Ok so i recieved the switch the day i get my new engine for the Blackout and think to myself ok ill fit the switch whilst the engine is allready out of the truck.

So off came the fan cover to expose the coil wires

Posted Image

Then instead of adding the wires to the clips and then to the coil ( personal preferance ) i soldered the wires direct to the plugs on the stop button that go to the coil.

Next up i drilled a small hole in the battery box for the L.E.D. ready for me to fit the engine.......
Right now in goes the engine ready to be run and after loads of swearing, kicking, tanting, blistered fingers and blood everywere i managed to get the engine in and ready to roll.

Plug the switch into my reciever using a Y lead connected to the steering servo   plug everything else into my reciever ( Spektrum sr300 ) and shove the wires away very untidy in my battery box :whistling:

Ok so now for the test of the switch.
I turn on the power to my electrics and like it should on came the L.E.D. and for the next 2 mins i was blind as all i could see was a blue light in my eyes :xd:  WOW! this thing is bright
Then i took the Blackout outside and kicked it up Bruuuuuuum!!! sounded nice after a few month of no engine

Turn off the handset and the engine died like it should do and then the L.E.D. came back on with the switch ready to be started up again no more messing for me and remembering after about 15 mins that the switch is off :hahadance:
And then spent the past 20 mins making sure it was doing what it should when i wanted it to :xd:  and everytime worked a treat

Pro's of this switch.
2ch kill for largscale engines ( cos your cheap like me and wont buy a 3ch radio ) :whistling:
No messing with soldering like a picco switch.
L.E.D. allready wired up
Wires to coil allready wired up
And of course the price for everything ( Even the L.E.D. and wires )
Small and compact with protective heatshrink

Cons of this switch.
Obv not every radio are compatible with every switch and this is no exception as it doesnt want to work with my Mini hyper stock radio ( hobao ) but does work with my spektrum sr300

Ok so thats that really it worked for me and remember im not an expert on killswitches as i only ever had a picco but this does what it says on the tin and it can be used on 2ch were you dont have a spare or no 3rd channel :hahadance:

Any questions as the creator and maker jolly-rodger-uk http://www.msuk-foru...jolly-roger-uk/

He is a sound bloke and he even give his mobile number on the instruction for personal help with the switch and i think thats proper customer support right there

P.s. couldnt get anymore pics as my camera decided it had had enough and if theres anything i have missed feel free to comment

Nice report bud..... Couple of queries
Did the Y connector come supplied ? Could you use any channel or must it be the steering channel ? (asking this as my 2 channel receiver failsafe only works on throttle channel ????)  Does the kill switch work if you loose power to the receiver ?
Cheers

No Y lead supplied as standard, so you'll have to supply your own, but if available you could simply plug into a spare channel.
I would not recommend using the throttle channel, simply because a programmed failsafe position will counter act the kill switch.
And yes, the engine will get killed if you loose receiver power.

Just ordered mine on the strength of this post. So far so good easy to pay and great communication from Lee. If all goes well I'll let everyone know.
