according to a website when i typed it in to google, it has a 3900kv motor and a 90A esc so i would think you could. does it say anything about it in the manual or on the esc?

i see the one i clicked on must have been a brushless version or something. most brush motors are only rated upto 7.2v and the highs voltage ones are bigger up to 550 size. if it's a stanard brushed set up then i would stick to 2s lipo. http://www.ebay.co.u...=item45ffea7e39 is this it?

esc would give off magic smoke and die, or overheat, or catch fire. would be very fast though but not for long

i have run 3s without trouble in a hsp 1/10 scale car, with a 3300kv motor and the 75 amp novatech 6-12v speedo. Went like stink probably 60mph. How long it will last I don't know but these manufacturers make cars for other better known firms who then place their own stickers on the if you like. A lot of the Maverick models are exactly the same as HBX or HSP models, but you pay for the name and local parts back up/after sales.
