Bought a battery recently which has a built in port for balancing charge. I have a few leads but none seem to fit. Any ideas which lead is required? Maybe a polyquest or robbe? Buy my stuff online as local model shops are no use, so need to know which plug to buy.

a standard 2s balance lead... looks strange though as it should be a plug not a port ?

a standard one? jsh-xt doesn't fit, its too large and has two plastic pins whereas the one on this battery doesnt. Looks similar to a polyquest or robbe but not sure hence the question.

Scratch that, can't read this time of night. EDIT:

Seems like you go an odd-ball lipo pack there- should have been included with a balancer lead with 2 male 2s connectors ( one each end )- the one for the battery end seems to be a propriety item possibly which is a pain....

EDIT 2:

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's been designed to work with both the  HP ( hyperion / polyquest ) connector which has no 'pins' ( I'd call em splines myself.. ) & a smaller tab on the top, or the EH ( Robbe / kokam ) connector which has no tab but 2 splines either side.

Kinda odd-ball for sure, but it's easy enough to find adaptor leads to suit any combo of connectors:

From looking at close up pictures I reduce the options down to the polyquest or robbe, but cant be sure. The plug itself is too small for a jsh-xt to fit, but I have no batteries with a polyquest or robbe plug to measure up. I'm quite certain I could make a polyquest or robbe fit as long as they were about the same size. As I'm not in the habit of swinging lipos and chargers arounf my head when charging, I don't think not having a clip mechanism will be too much of a problem.
Any ideas where I can buy a pq male lead or robbe male lead for that matter? As I could then solder up the jsh-xt plugs on the other end to go into the charger?

thanks neil, trying to locate a 3 pin pq is quite difficult as they seem to be wiring the 5 pin ones even on 2s packs

Yeah, I just this second noticed that myself, kinda rules out PQ as an option. I wonder if the pin-spacing is standard though ( should be ), as you may just be able to trim down a JST-XH 2s connector until it fits, just check polarity..

was thinking that myself, but the jsh plugs outer pins are about a mm wider than on the battery. Still, i have a couple of jsh on order for the charger end which should arrive monday/tuesday and currently making an order from a couple of others such as the TT, Align and Kokam ones. The Kokam and TT look a bit smaller so maybe they will work after some alteration.

jst-xh doesnt fit, have tried to size up one from a lipo i have and its about 1.55mm too larger and pin spacing is too large on the jsh. once the various parts arrive will get trimming and sort it out.

update on the situation, the various plugs came through the post and it turns out the thunder tiger ones work upside down and with the clip cut off. If anyone comes across these batteries and is stuck for plugs, those are the ones you want to make up your charge leads
