I did it to my baja and made all the plates i needed and it only cost me the price of a cutting blade for angle grinder

The main issues I have with it are keeping the front end on the deck and the turn in. The FG steering conversion does interest me though, as I reckon the HPI setup is overly complex and doesn;t make best use of hte servo power. It seems awkward, where the FG one is simple.
Also...I would not want to cut and shut my fuel tank. I would run with a stock one and cram the rest of teh stuff in. Might be an idea to use a couple of 1/8 strip packs in parallel to give the capacity. Would be easier to site. Also..if you go for an FG layout, turn the servo so it runs across the chassisand it makes for more room. You will need to make up your own servo tray though.
If it's a shortie you want, go for it.

You don't need to cut the tank.
Easier to make radio tray.
I may look at do a fg style mod with the servo

Any idea where i can find the links for the fg mod. Have found 1 but it not the best
