has anyone on the forum made a cold air feed or anything along the lines of that, does it help?
if anyone has how did they do it?

i was thinking of maybe using glass fibre to create a scoop

No, what your thinking of is basicly the same concept as a nitro super-charger whitch does nothing but ruin the motor. Nitro engine's are not starved of air and pussing more into the engine will make the tune become iratic and unreliable through-out the rev range, if you want more power the best thing you can do is get a bigger air-filter whitch will lessen the force required to draw air into the engine.

Theres no point forcing the engine to intake more air.

The cold air feed is just a good air feed for nitro engine

make sure the tune is good and you'll be fine

nitros have a cold air feed anyway. cold air is constantly blowin up into the shell. i made a scoop for my rex ages ago and it made no difference

he's talkin about a cold air feed not forced induction. like in a 1:1 when you see cars that have k&n filters, they have a tube goin from either the bumper or wheel arch so the engine gets cold air from outside rather than air thats been warmed up by the engine

yer thats what i was thinking hatzy, just saw your pictures of what you did but you say theres no point?

Roof scoops are in many ways forced induction.

a roof scoop thats used to direct cold air directly onto the eninge fins cant be a bad thing

can you buy roof scoops for models ? might put one on my ST Pro :thumbsup:

what made the most difference was just cuttin the roof off. you can also enlarge the hole around the fuel lid and make holes in the windows

Im getting one for the roof on my truggy, ive seen how to's to make air vents which look better but i think it needs to be done before the paint job as it involves heating with a pait stripper
