i have a firebird freedom that i flew a few times and then i damaged it badly when i crashed and was wondering if i can take it apart and use the servos and radio gear in the jp 480 si as they are both 3 chanel

is this doable or will the servos and radio gear not be suitable

if not what would i need to use to build a jp 480 and get back flying

sorry if this is a silly question i am quite new to rc modelling

had a look at this today and recon the answer is probably no

the controller is 3 ch type with a slider for the throttle it says fm 27.195 channel 5 would this be suitable to use on the jp 480 si

if so i recon i may use that to cut cost down a bit for my first build then all i will need is servos and reciever

didn't realise that but have looked it up

looks to me like that goes between the reciever and the servos and wont stop me from using my current controller is that right

could someone suggest the best budget servos/reciever and v tail mixer to use the choice is quite bewildering for a beginner

idea now scrapped one of the servos damaged in the firebird and there is a main controll board with everything built into it that will not fit in the wing anyway it also seems rx on fm 27.195 is realy hard to find and quite outdated.

so nice thought but none of it is going to work i have to buy all new kit for the wing.
