sounds like you have a little problem with wiring up your RC.

the red cable from motor to be connected to the + terminal on  the esc

the black motor cable to the - terminal on the esc.

some motors have 3 wires,

red to + terminal on esc
black to - terminal on esc
the third cable is sometimes blue / yellow / green, this is a sensor cable and is hooked to the data terminal ( usualy the centre pin on the esc )

Not quite 100% right there - the third cable is for the third phase in a brushless motor (that is, if the OP has a brushless motor) and the sensor cable is another complete wire/bundle of smaller wires with a block connector, and obviously is only for sensored motors.

yeah been a while since i had a brushless and messed with rc, my days started with MSC units lol and those big nasty burning ceramic heatsinks. could be possible he has a brushless system so maybe you could explain those two in case.

hopeful the OP has sorted his electrics problem and not be afraid to ask even the simple questions without being flamed, we all was once a newcomer with 1001 questions.

Whats this I hear about a "Flux Capacitor" on page one?

Can I get one for my firestorm Flux????

Great Scott Marty!!!!!!!  (Palm Plant to forehead)

With the new Flux Capacitor from HobbyKing fitted to my firestorm, It's dissapeared with a trail of flames!!!!

Damm Cheap electrics, here it is, a puddle of bubbling plastic  :xd: :xd: :xd:
