hi all,,

right i thought id try a leccy rc as ive never had one and fancied summat i could blip round the house, so i managed to lay my hands on a tl-01 with a sport tuned 19turn motor and a lrp esc the chassis has had holes drilled in it though lol but it came rtr with 2 batterys (nimh) and charger and a m3 bodyshell for the bargain price of £10

but heres the problem (bare with me here lol) everything works electrics wise but im getting no power to the wheels, ive had a bit of a look and can see one of the cogs have stripped its the one that meshes onto the metal cog thats attached to the motor ,

so i need to know what this part is called,,, if i can buy it single or does it come as a set???  how fast do folk think it will go??  will it drift??? was it a bargain????

cheers

You be needings a spur gear for that there car. The smaller the spur the higher the top speed will be, but make sure to Google tl01 gear combinations to find out what size spur it can run

This pack is what you need: http://www.ebay.co.u...=item5891514212

Here's a copy of the manual to see which exact gear it is, and how to fit it.

If someone offered me a tl01 with no electrics, shell or tyres for £10 I'd jump on it.  If this spur gear issue is the only problem with the car I'd say it's an awesome bargain!

If you want to drift it you can get some drift wheels for it no problem but as for other mods it might need to drift I don't know but the drift forum will!

Hope you enjoy your car and any more questions/problems you know where to come =D

cheers quantra the gear thing is the only issue really oh and the holes that have been drilled in the chassis but they dont seem to have made it weak though,, it just looks a bit of a mess if you know what i mean

there are two real gearing options, the one set which will be hwat you already have (although stripped) and the speed tuned gear set if you want to go faster.

white set (as garry pointed out http://www.ebay.co.u...=item5891514212

also if i remember correctly the same part you need is also on the m03 chassis gear bag too.

Then if speed is your thing. http://www.ebay.co.u...=item1c215e37c6

as for drifting they can drift. the only real problems with tl01 chassis, is the preset gearing options and then battery which fits through the chassis. but there are plenty of hop up around too if thats your thing. defo go for quick release battary holder. bearing through out. and the list goes on pal. but have fun and enjoy yourself either way

i use a tl-01 for drifting.

just putting drift tyres on is enough but its probably not the best set up for it.
