That must be a weak spot on the macnums as mine broke in exactly the same spot! I just swapped holes as a temp fix, but mine were the front knuckles so luckily it was more viable with less rubbing. Usually i would reccomend boiling but as its on a screw i think it would be weak/ strip the thread if you boil the plastic.

I am running 8.5t with a locked diff and its insane, but at the moment i'm just in need of a 12mm hex pin for the hub as it popped off somewhere which is a PITA. I reccomend locking wheel hex's but the grub screw stripped on mine, so im struggling in getting that out...

I know you can get alloy replacements, but figured the impact would just break something more expensive, i'll take the £3 hit this time.

I've got my ears used to the different noise the slipper & diff make when they slip, loosened the slipper, tightened the diff, and now I only hear the slipper, its all still bedding in.

Esc wasn't warm at all, motor got warm to the touch, I think i'll try a larger pinion, running 19T at the mo.

With my macnum I swapped out the t plate to a carbon one after breaking it to many times... Apart from that I found it to be quite a solid car

Finally got around to giving the Macnum a good blast around the local park. Its a good laugh on grass, plenty fast enough for me. I'm pleased to report all the shock lids stayed on.

The slipper was slipping a bit too much, so I tightened that a turn, then I started getting the diff slip sceam, then the car started spinning out on turns, seems the diff had gone from slipping to locked. This was after about 20min of ragging it flat out, over some small path jumps.

Time to scrape all the mud off and investigate the gearbox!

Dude ive got the Ansmann Hot Rod. Worth £47 for a kit. However when i finished putting it together i got my hands on a Schumacher Riot chassis with a few parts on that. I swapped the front hub carrier's over and changed the rear arms and hubs. Make the back about 5mm wider each side. End result is this....
