When I am redoing the pullstart I coil the cord up then start winding the spring. I do this by using my index finger and thumb and holding the inside of the spring whilst with the other hand, looping a couple of times round then pulling tight until it is all wound. Now for the tricky part. Gently loosen the spring slightly and then try put it in the casing matching both the holding lugs. Depending on your patience and skill it will probably take you 30 mins to 2 hours :D

You ask and you shall recieve

Clicky

Recoiling is about patience

some people use a drill to help, i found it just became a cat on a ceiling fan

My tip is to Coil around 3 to 4 times loose - and then pull it tight
Cable ties help too, but thats for putting it back into the pullstart housing

Ziggy
