Hi guys

Right, My first every rc fuel tank with a primer button..
I never normally go for it, But i bought this rc with it having one...

Tuning today has been very horrible business.. Ive never had this much problem in the past...

With the engine being already sealed, i knew straight away it was the tank.. and sure enough after test's, it was...

So how do i remove the primer button??

I pulled off the black finger button and removed the spring.. but the metal rod that goes down into the tank dont want to come out..
Tried twisting it to see if its threaded, NOPE
tried yanking out with a pain of pliers NOPE
tried pushing it to see if i can get it to drop into the tank NOPE....

any idea;s??

By the way, im on about my hpi rs4....

and before anyone says it.. I havent got the cash for a couple of weeks to be able to just replace the tank...
So i want to get this tank sorted to last until i can get a new one without a primer button

cheers

Can you not just push the rod down and then apply glue round the top of the tank. Basically seal it and glue the rod in place at the same time?

rofl rofl rofl - how on earth?

Eitherway primer tanks tbh are good and bad, its meant to be good for starting up - no blowing on pipes and stuff
but they are known to restrict flow and break easily

the rush evo had a primer tank - had to change and got a no primer tank - no problems :)
Hyper is same - none primer and who cares? :)

ziggy
