Hi all,

Just picked up an CRT Pro and i've been thinking about an E-Conversion as i already have an X1X Sport.

Are there any conversion kits available? What Brushless combos are there?

Any advice is much appreciated.

there are a few kits about but most of them are for the X2 and require a smaller spur. ive just got a nice simple MMM 2200kv set up in mine and runs well on 4s. would highly recommend thick oil for the centre diff

I cant remember which conversion ive got but it was a straight fit i had to make spacers on a lathe at work so some1 else might offer a suggestion of a direct fit.

I`m using RC monster motor mount http://www.rc-monste...hp?prod=RCMCRT1 and is great u can go down to 10-11t pinion , battery tray and straps I got it from here http://www.teknorc.c...ex.php?cPath=97 . ESC and motor i choose xerun 150a and 2000kv and run it on 4s 5s no problems . With pinion 12-13t and 46 spur from cr working great for me (max 47mph) With smaller spur you will have more space for bigger battery :).

+1 thick oil in centre diff ( i use 100k)

Excellent.

So i need the mount, pinions, a spur, the battery mount kit and then the brushless system?

Any ideas on the cost of the Xerun kit? Would go MMM but dont like the thought of a very expensive fire.

Xerun kits prices start from 130 up to 155 from uk http://www.ebay.co.u...-All-Categories.
On 4s go for 12t mod1 pinion and with xerun you should have good temps.

Dont forget about batteries and charger . From my experience go at least 30c one

Ezrun good esc as well but bit bigger though

On a 2045kv 150a xerun sensor less system, I ran my X1-CRTe on 18/48 without any problems and it was insanely powerfull.

There's a link to my RCoTM thread on mine, and a link in that to a detailed build thread, may help to have a read through.

I read your thread Iain, in fact it was stumbling across your thread that persuaded me :)

Thinking of importing a Tekin RX8 and T8 Combo from Stormer hobbies, as i like Tekin stuff. Any ideas what KV motor?

Anything 1800kv to 2250 should be fine, some people run 2650's but I found it limited gearing a little.

The X1 is an excellent platform for a conversion, I would look at a bum-skid for the front though, as the stock bumper isn't the cleverest design and with brushless it will take some stick.
The hinge pin braces are another weak point.

Good luck with it matey, and if you need any help, feel free to pm me.

I received the Pro today Iain, in fact a few hours ago (Parcelfarce) and it has a bump skid plate front and rear, as well as spares.

Also has a Z brace, CNC Shock towers, big bores and the CNC chassis braces all fitted which i think are standard? Anyway, it looks a really good platform for a conversion, it has a custom mount and a big blocker (Ofna.28) which i'll probably rebuild and sell to fund the Brushless kit.

I really like the look of the RX8 sensorless kit, Stormer has them for $278 so i'm hoping i can have one imported for £200.
