The Slick Mist body is a detailed and realistic-looking replica of Robby Woods’ Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series truck that is now available for the SC10, SC10RS or SC10 4x4.

It is painted, decalled and pre-cut/drilled. Try pricing up similarly finished Tamiya bodies, and you get a lot less lexan with those... (circa £70-80 in the UK for some).

I see where your coming from, but other manufacturers produce manage to produce similar RTR shells for allot less :shockingscary:

Those are usually silk-screen printed and made in massive production numbers to bundle in RTR kits, bringing the unit cost down. As far as I know, this is clear lexan, then painted with RC paint, plus decalled (there's a lot of them), you need to hire a skilled person to do the job with milimetre-precision.

I'm not saying its not a lot of money (because it is ), I'm just trying to justify how they came to that figure. :good:

For what it is, it's not really alot of money... I've just paid £55 for a clear yokomo shell, which is alot smaller
