One thing that appeals to me is the runtime you get out of a single battery this will also make HER happy as she's not interested in such details as charging and balancing lol. I understand the stock ESC doesn't have LVC can anyone recommend one that has? also I have some of these LIPOS http://www.hobbyking..._Approved_.html for my other models would the fit in the scout?
Any advice you could give me would be appreciated,

boxes i only had a 1800 standard unit but can get a good 30 mins of crawling out it
one thing you wont have to worry about is the stock motor as its a 70t great for low speed and torque (bear in mind the axial wraith has a stock motor of 35t(i think) and its upgrade is still only 55t,im affraid i dont no about using lipo's or what you wud have to swap out to make them work

and as i say the run time i get with the 1800 is fine and they are only about £10 to buy no messing with ESC's,
putting more money into the crawler

mods you mentioned are about all thats needed and possibly lower the body a touch too.
the motor i dont know, if its 70t it will be slow, a 55t would be about right, if you want a little more speed, 35t-45t.
the wraith comes with a 20t motor but too fast for a scout.
if you can place the battery over the front axle thats a bonus but as your using lipo, there aint a lot of weight in them so, in the original battery tray would do for now provided you weighted up the wheels.
hope this helps, gaz.

Unfortunately I don't hear too well so I would probably miss an audible LVC lol so can anyone recommend a cheapish ESC with LVC that would be suitable?
If it is a 70t motor what 55t would you recommend?

there the tyres too, just make sure they are in white compound, best for crawling, the kit wheels will be fine but if you see some others you like then that will be fine too.
esc wise, doesn`t need to be anything fancy mate, anything with lvc will do, dont buy mtroniks though there poop!!
a traxxas xl5 with lvc would be a good choice, or if you feel flush, a novak rooster crawler or tekin fxr pro (between 40-90) for a good used.
as for motors whilst the higher the turn the more torque, a 55t is perfect for crawlers, and as such either a tekin or novak are the best there is.
if you need any more help please feel free to give me a shout mate, gaz.
