Hey guys Iv got a mini hyper st got some new bits for it to make it a good car! All working fine! Happy days! Then it kills 2 recivers in a day! Still not had a play with it at this point! So a mate says come back to mine we will sort it and get it running properly! And what a job he did, so I leave his house a very happy man! Order a new bottom arm and exhaust gasket today, then I thought time to take it out and have some fun! And guess what! It doesnt want start then the pull start gives in! Soooooo fed up! My mate has had more time on it than I have! Grrrrr

i know its a bit depressing but once its up and running (which it will be) when you crash or something breaks you'll a great base knowledge to fix it, this will benefit you in the long run trust me

You may have problems with it, and fnd that all the problems come all at once..
But once sorted, its quite rewarding....

Hi Mate, i did what you did. Bought a used Hyper Mini ST, spent about £50 on parts, just wish i had bought a new one.. but we live and learn!
I think the pull starts are not dear for these so you should be ok?

I just keep my self going by looking at people with brand new cars they have broken bits on.

I dread to think when my pull start cord will snap.

I my self am having a problem with my suspension arm holder, i cant seem to find one so mine sits there broken and looking miserable.

P.s. i have found with mine that i have to open the throttle and blow a bit through the exhaust tube to get fuel down the line again to get it started quicker.

mate as norco said, stick with it. My first dive into nitro was a VERY bad experience. I went cheap and bought a Nitrotek VRX-1 truggy. gave me endless grief. Almost dropped the hobby completely. Then I sold it for spares and got me some decent kit (still second hand/project kit).

not saying i've not had issues since but it's certainly not as bad as the nitrotek kit. love the smell of nitro man  - it's addictive!

Oh and top things off 2of the engine mount bolts are rounded of!!!!!!!!
Regards the pull start Iv seen some pull start rope on eBay is it easy to replace? I'd rarther spend £3 than £20 at the moment as I'm sick of spending on it think Iv only drove it 20 yards :(
Have you tried jespares on eBay for parts they seem to have quite a lot of good parts!
Iv got some nice plans for it which are 17mm hub convertion, high downforce spoiler, and some nice handling bits!(no alloy arms thought as that's a long story) and maybe a nice engine upgrade once I get used to the power!

you can nip to B&Q - ( i got mine from there superstores) and just brought a replacement light cord for silly money.....

If you are prepared to spend a couple of hours then its worth it in my eye

The problem you will have it the recoiling of the spring.... First time you do it - it'll be tricky and hard

I did do a guide - look in the guides section - it'll help you loads

Is there any way you can pre-emptively change the cord so not to go through the hassle of re-coiling?
