Hi Guys

Been looking for a Rock crawler for a while & seen modelsports are selling a losi micro bind & drive, which needs a Surface DSM Transmitter......?

Just not sure what it is or how much?

Thanks

hi mate, you will need a losi 2.4ghz tx or a spektrum dx3e/c/s/r/r pro to make it happen.

have a look on ebay for a cheap losi 2.4ghz tx mate, you`ll get one for less than a tenner.

its the same one you get with the standard rtr micro crawler or you can use spektrum controllers aswell form what ive read.

this is the losi one and it will cost roughly £25 to buy new but heres one on ebay

If its the First generation of Traxxas 2.4 (Pre Traxxas Link) as they were Spektrum DSM compatible, but they were short lived, so you almost certainly have a Traxxas Link Transmitter, so no.

Your cheapest option is pick up a Losi Handset from the bay.

what terror trooper said, the receiver though is combined with the esc in that. so transmitter only needed, unless you can get a losi combo and sell on the receiver.......(which is a spektrum sr300 and worth between £20-25)

hope this helps, gaz.

for a bit of indoor action when the weathers bad there spot on!!

i loved mine but never found time to use it.

couple of cheap mods and there quite capable for what they are, get yourself some more batteries though, a few quid on ebay, remove the springs on the shocks so it runs in "droop", stops it falling over. and a bit of weight in the front wheels.

other than that pretty much perfect.

I run mine on a 2s 300mah lipo. Don't use a bleeper.
I ran it until it almost came to a stop and measured the lipo voltage, it showed 3% left so that's fine.
I drilled some little holes in the top of the esc/ reciever coz it gets warm. Never caused a problem tho.

Well I've just got myself a losi/speccy transmitter so now need to buy the micro crawler bind & drive.  The transmitter did not come with a bind plug, looking a youtube seems easy enough to make one, fingers crossed it works!  Also I have a lipo that i want to use on the micro crawler, but it has a red type of plug on it a male, so will need a feamle version, only thing is i dont know what it is called, any ideas what it might be??
thanks

I think they're sometimes called BEC plugs

http://www.wheelspin...s.co.uk/i/8218/

I got mine off eBay.
