I was looking for a cheap roller of some kind and came across this (thanks R46),
A Hyper 12 Mini ST, it came with everything needed for nitro except engine ETC .... so was nearly ready to run,

BUT

I didn't want to run it as nitro and i'm more of a leccy kinda person..
as i wont be getting the electrics and motor mount for a while as i have spent quite a bit this month already,
so out came my bodging skills...

I took an old video case and started cutting it up, added some shoe goo and drilled some holes and it was done.
now my main problem was there would be no where to put the esc once bought, so i went for a search and found some perspex,
got the hacksaw to it (more bodging) drilled 4 holes and mounted... it has a curved side to it, but once the esc is mounted you wont notice it ( i will end up  getting a diff cover/plate like on the hyper 10tt.

I ordered some battery straps and some 5,000wt and 7,000wt diff oils for the diffs and started to strip it down and re-oil, mounted battery straps.

It is now ready for the conversion :xd:

:) its a work in progress :P the screw ends will need covering or lipo gonna be pierced if that gonna be battery tray.
mounts arrived yet?

Yeah i have found an alternative for the battery tray....
Nope no mounyet :( was sent out early this week from usa so could be a while....

looks nice.. what gearing where you running when you had it?

Get a 5200kv Tenshock and run that on 3s :xd:

dont worry aj .. im getting 5200kv and 3s :thumbsup:

Im now thinking 18-20t pinion? instead of 16t :whistling: :xd:

thats a stupid idea putting a 20t on a 5200kv on 3s, bye bye esc , unless you run something like a RX8

when get round to converting 2nd crt.5 it will start with 3400kv then in goes 1/8 2650kv motor :)

centre diff has 50k oil it

even a 16t is pushing it, i run a 12t for 3s and its still good for 55mph

i run a 15t on road once and that was really pushing my esc and my Road Rage tyres exploded, no point going for ultimate speed when you risk smoking your esc and puffing your lipos, the Tenshock 5200kv can pull well over 200a when geared wrong

umm... yeah i will go for a lower t pinion then :xd: ... the last thing i want is to blow my esc/lipo up
