Just a quick question, can I use 3s lipos in it? (with a lipo cut off of course)

What parts from the ax10 fit the scout?

Thanks
Mat

i dont think the esc is rated for that high voltage.
why do you want to run 3s?

Also it's not really run time that I'm really worried about, lipos are a lot smaller and lighter than nimh which is what I'm after :)

Best thing to do with the scout, is weight the wheels, as the COG is so high, it make a world of difference, mine came with a 3000mah included too, we must have dipped lucky howie

i used these to weight the wheels, makes a world of difference http://www.ebay.co.u...=item2567d9d07b

Is your ESC rated for 3 cell most ESC can handle 2 cell , if no cut off then fit a li-po low voltage buzzer

Yeah I've weighted the wheels, removed the battery tray and relocated the receiver and esc lower down and also lowered the shell an inch, Have the battery mounted on the servo but it's a little big, hence my question :)

Was just wondering if hubs and carriers etc are the same? I no buttom links are

Right...
What make and model number is your ESC...
then we can google it and find out..
or take a photo and post it up on the forum...
More then likely it's Ni-Cad or Ni-Mh and mite take a 2cell 7.4v Li-Po..

im fairly sure its not lipo ready, meaning theres no cut-off therefore a 3s lipo would probably melt it. you could use a 2s though with a low volt buzzer. to be honest theres not too many crawler esc`s that i can think of that will take 3s.

the novak rooster can be run on 3s with a fan fitted and external bec, other is holmes hobbies which some take up to 6s but there mega bucks!!

i would look on hobby king mate, get a couple of 2s lipos and a buzzer for around £20.

only other worthwhile mod down the line is some new tyres, hot bodies sedonas or rovers in white compound are the best to go for at the minute.....

hope this helps a bit, gaz.
