First up the Traxxas E-Revo Receiver Box

Now the shell

Now with all the new parts fitted,(Receiver Box, Rear Anti-roll Bar, Shock Socks and the shell)

Ordered some more bits on Saturday, new battery straps as the ones supplied with the Ansmann battery tray must have been for 2s as they are way too small and i am going to be running this on 4s, found a pair of Turnigy battery straps on ebay for just under a fiver with delivery. Also ordered front & rear T-Bone Racing bumpers direct from T-Bone racing, a must have, real buggy savers!
Might double up the shock towers with the original ones that came with the buggy until a decent set of Front & Rear Hyper St Pro towers turn up, also made my own rear mud guards out of an old VHS case, was quite rigid, yet flexible at the same time and very light, perfect for the guards, just made a template from cardboard and once i had transferred it over to the plastic and cut them out i just took a heat gun to them and bent the top of the guards round some copper piping so that they would curve nicely over the top arms. Then just fixed them with the screws for the rear anti roll bar along with some washers, which seem to secure enough.
Next up is the shell, have been looking at Outlaw Graphics, amazing work and absolutely amazing prices!!! Was thinking of a combination of red, black and some sort of dark silver, maybe gun metal? Will have to ask Mark of Outlaw Graphics for some ideas!!! Better off leaving that stuff to people who know what they are doing!!!

Still, not the end of the world...
The Turnigy battery straps are brilliant. I have some and they couldn't better.

And yeah, I agree, I was a bit dubious at first with the Turnigy straps because of the fact that firstly there's no plastic turnbuckle and secondly that because of there being no plastic turnbuckle, they don't loop back on themselves, but, if anything, I personally have found them to be better for exactly those reasons!

This was the result, when I lost sight of my buggy it went underneath a car and the front shock tower caught the axle and snapped the front diff housing, although when I originally bought the roller the seller did inform that there was a small crack in the front diff housing anyway and supplied me with a spanking new one!
So I took it apart and fitted the new housing and at the same time, firstly, I was not keen on the CNC parts being purple so I re-sprayed them gloss black and secondly I was not happy with how the buggy was sitting, just seemed too low for off-road and just seemed a bit saggy!
So I needed to replace the shock oils in the front and rear, add new springs and raise the height with collars/spacers, I needed 40wt in the front which would have been about £4-5, 35wt in the rear, another £4-5 , also had to find collars/spacers to raise the buggy which I had a nightmare trying to find and a new set of springs which would have been around £10 so I had a look on eBay and found someone selling a set of 16mm big bore shocks that had just had the 40wt oil in the front and 35wt in the rear replaced, white (medium) springs all round and a complete pack of spacers for £20, RESULT!!!
So I ordered them in and when I received them I replaced the original shocks I had which actually had the dark grey (Hard) springs on so I swapped the white (Medium) springs on the new front shocks for the dark grey ones I orignally had and fitted the extra collars/spacers to raise the buggy to a much better height and straight away I noticed the difference, feels soooooo much better and looks soooooo much better now with the CNC parts in black!

Firstly I added T-Bone front bumper and just recently acquired a set of Hong Nor Big Bores minus the shock ball end posts which have been ordered and should be with me in the next day or so, I also thought that I would try my hand at spraying my own shell, I was originally going to send it off to Outlaw Graphics but this particular shell is for bashing so did not really think it was worth getting a pro job, but I will be sending off the next shell on my new buggy thats for certain!
I am reasonably happy with how the shell turned out!

Have to get some more decent decals now, although I am still searching for some ones that will go with the shell design/colours, have also ordered in a new Hong Nor high downforce wing which will not only look better in my opinion but also serve a purpose. Also on the hunt for some either Proline, AKA or DBoot tyres on white dish rims which will go with the Red anodised wheel nuts that I also ordered in from eBay to tie everything in!
Will post more pics once everything else has arrived and been fitted!
I also doubled up my shock towers as well, my CNC ones along with the original towers that came with the buggy when I got it, (Black Edition Towers), they are now 10mm thick, no chance of these bending now!!!

It is rapid yeah, it could actually be faster, there are people on here that are actually running these on 6s, but for me, 4s is plenty fast enough with the motor im running, plus running 6s for bashing would be mental, i personally prefer going round a track so 6s would just be way too much.
On 4s with my setup it actually still wants to wheelie everytime i initially put the power down, despite the fact that the battery is up front! Great fun though!
