:o

Surely petrol engines aren't powerful enough when that small? Especially with the spark plug, the big battery for it... :whistling:

Me very interested. Although I don't actually know what I'm intereted in, it's just a silhouette.

EDIT: Maybe a Savage XL version would provide enough space though? :whistling:

What big battery? The spark plug is powered by the flywheel creating a current. The battery is big cause they use much larger mAh capactity cells to help power the big servos and longer runtime to suit the 45min tank

Could you tell I've never owned a petrol?

Maybe it is possible. But still, gram for gram petrol isn't as powerful as nitro fuel, so unless the engine in this is a fair bit bigger than the one normally in a Savage I can't see any performance advantages. But maybe if they stop copying chainsaw engines then the petrol engine will have more power?

I think theres a lot open to interpretation, we'll find out the specifics later. Compagnucci used to make 1/8th and 1/9th cars with .39 petrol engines, so its possible.

Oooh... if a custom built petrol 4-stroke Savage can do this:

Then maybe a HPI one could go one better... :whistling:

you can already get a kit that converts your savage to run a petrol engine. and going by the pic it looks like its going to be a savage of some sort

I know that! It's just four strokes are generally less powerful than 2 strokes. So if a 4 stroke can do that, then imagine what a 2 stroke could do... is what I meant. ^_^ :P
