Getting hold of the original and restoring seems to be a little on the pricey side, so compromising. Had a lunchbox back in the day, and at the end of the month I should be getting a rolling chassis to start rebuilding as next car project at the end of the year - although I'm going to go for a different shell with a lower c of g, updated front end, third shock mod, front anti-roll setup, reinforced chassis, different wheels, brushless motor setup, and jotting down notes for a 4-link rear (although since I'm not planning on super-rough stuff, this may not make it into the project) ... lots of work ahead! Third car wanted is either a 2 or 4wd touring car base on which I can mount a retro body such as a Mk1 escort or 105 Anglia. I still want to build a VW Camper van. AND there's a Toureg based on an HPI chassis in the for sale section I still find very, very attractive indeed! can I stop now - pleeeeease? They look even better in the flesh I wouldn;t want to own one as I wouldn;t dare use it....but it's one of the few cars I could find a place for on teh shelf....and I don;t do shelf queens! Instead I have a 5th scale sandrail painted that colour. Tried the Short Course thing and found it wasn't for me. Tried fast brushless...and it's soulless.
