Right, had this for a while now, still havn't done anything with it but Summer's here so it's time to get it moving!

Firstly, looking for a motor mount and battery tray.

Am I best off with the TC Models Hyper Conversion kit
OR

The RCMonster mount (which looks much cooler but costs more) and some Caster battery trays (same ones Joe uses)

For ESC I'll be using a Vorza ESC mount

Electronics when I get it back the MMM 2200KV combo will be going in, and hopefully if they fit 2 3S 5000mah LiPo's for some 6S lunacy

Here are some pics, got it off eBay for £35











All stock for now, will upgrade as it breaks when I get it running.
I've got some black nanda block wheels as well, need 2 more for a full set, hoping to go for a stealthy look like my Revo.

So yeah, any comments on the motor mounts and battery tray(s) ?

in my hyper 8 pro conversion using hobby pro kit/ tc models one, an fusion trays but their small width wise like 47mm my 3s is 49mm no chance to fit properly had to stand it up, but tray that comes in kit takes it nicely if go for tc models kit best option order another tray sametime
good price got it for!! an clean too or your done cleaning to it? seems the dirtyier they are higher value they become

Is that the one Missions1 was selling if so he tried to sell it to me the night before the auction for £80.

Subscribed ill be converting mine soon too! I'm either going to use the TCM one or the Ansmann.

I have to reccomend the TC kit as well

The RCM isnt worth the price... especially when you factor in the extortionate postage :S

Shame it was the only option when i did mine

Are you gonna run standard conversion (motor behind servo)

or my style saddle conversion?

if you do a saddle conversion, you have to use the RCM or a normal sized motor wont fit

looks like its in very good condition just wants the chassis braces and hubs upgrading and it will be a beast of a basher

my motor 4074 reversed an have clearance from steering post is it that hyper 8 pro chassis longer than 7?

If so I might order 3 or 4 as they are so cheap and they do break sometimes + I need one for my X1-CRTe

I was planning on doing the normal conversion and keep both packs in one tray side by side and stood up.
Not to fussed about balance as it will only be used for bashing.

The Hyper is the one missions1 sold and it was quite dirty when I got it.





Gave it a full strip down and clean, regreased diffs, refilled shocks etc
Much better than what it was.

I've been reading through your Hyperactive thread in conclusion I think I need Hyper ST towers & CNC braces, CNC knuckles, T-Bone bumper/skid, better shocks and to boil all plastic parts except a-arms?

its a hyper 8 pro uk had it over 5yrs used for 2 years then been sitting up since got crt.5 pro

can vouch for tc models and their conversion kits, got one and its good quality + came in a matter of days. good luck with that email

nice the pinion that comes with kit 12t too small so you'll need to get larger
