After getting a bit fed up of breaking a diff every time i took the lightning apart, i fixed and sold it.

And after speaking to roie (Revomadness) about what buggy to get, i finally decided on a Losi 8ight.

So off i went in pursuit of a nice losi and i decided to get the Tekno RC V4 Chassis Conversion kit for it as well. Which i ordered before i bought the buggy Posted Image

Then i found a buggy over on maxbashing and pmed the owner and a deal was done. I paid and sat back and waited..... and waited and waited and waited. It never arrived. As you can guess i was less than pleased, especially when it took paypal about a month to sort it out

But i got my money back and looked for another. I ended up with a better deal than before as this time i got a losi 8 E roller and an AMB transponder for £110 posted. As anyone in the know will know, an AMB transponder will set you back about £60-£70 new and about £40-£50 for a good nick used one. So i was well pleased Posted Image

I actually had the Tekno kit sitting in its box on my bedroom floor for about 3 weeks before i got the losi lol

So the losi arrived and i set to stripping parts out of HUNTER.Ps temporary donar hyper 8E, only to find that my castle 1717 wouldnt fit in the Tekno motor mount.

So i fitted HUNTERs castle 2200KV for the mean time along with my Tekin RX8, Ansmann W3 RX, Zippy flightmax4S  5000mah 30C lipo and an Ace DS1015.

And here she is, in all her glory

Difference in the 2 motors

Then i got into contact with Dejan at Alza Racing

After a couple of PMs of measurements etc, a design was drawn up for a new motor mount to fit the Castle 1717 and still use the holes that the Tekno mount would have used.

Dejan does some seriously good work and ill definately be using him again.

And hes cheap as well at 25euro for my new mount posted to Northern Ireland.

Here it is

Also fitted a capacitor to ensure the RX always has power

Time for some amazing cooling Posted Image

But theres a snag. The shell doesnt fit with it on. Always something

I think ill heat the shell and press it out to form a bubble where the fan is.

Speaking of the shell. Its crap and was ruined on the first run so i duct taped it and CA glued it lol

Also have a 45 tooth spur to fit so i can get a bit more speed out of it. Not that it needs it lol

Big thanks to Roie for helping me out and to Dejan for making me the mount Posted Image

I dont actually know if it will shift yet.

On its first speed test, it got to 52.3MPH and the front lifted of the ground and threw the tires off the wheels

Any ideas on how to power the fan?? I was thinking of running a nitro hump pack or else just a really small heli 3S to make it a bit faster??
