I have an EP8 also, silly fast little car but as said can be fragile. Try Blacksmith RC they do all the spares you could need. I may sell mine if interested, brought it new in Jan 2011, have receipt. 2 sets of road wheels and plenty of other spares. PM me if interested. :good:

The acme werewolf is not that bad just you may have to upgrade a few parts like my spur gear in my front diff has just gone but took it all apart nd baught the upgreaded one which is more heavy duty so i think it is a good buggy for that money!! Posted Image

can any 1 help me, just brought a bsd ep8, and i snaped 2 hubs off in 1 jump.. was first jump i did with it only got it a day ago lol and i cant find any where 2 buy alloy hubs other wise if i cant this car aint no good 2 me... cus it cant even stand a jump with them plastic hubs.. i had spare hubs but its inpossible to remove the pin with out the plastic snaping.. really bad design the car looks like its built to brake and put in the bin... really odd way they got going with the pins that hold the lower arms and hubs.. where as my baja just has a pin with e-clips why didnt they do that...

if any 1 can point me to where i can get some alloy parts that be so helpfull otherwise its a fix with new parts and sell far as im concered :( such a shame go's like a bloody rocket!

Personally, I wouldn't get either.
The acme models in general are awfull. (I've had several) if anything, their quality has gone downhill last 6 years or so.
The bsd isn't a bad car, but its not great either.
I've always found that you should buy the best car you can afford, buy cheap buy twice is a metaphor that is very real in this hobby.

well so far its all down to the plastic thats wrong with it, and ive read all the posts about this car on msuk and other forums and everyone keeps saying its a crap car no hopups etc, as i was hoping to find a post with some 1 saying heres where u can get alloy parts as far as i can find no one has tryed the alloy hubs.. from what i can find online any way... but after alot of research, ive found the alloy hubs they are for a ftx but looks 100% the same part! i thinking its worth a try! and for a start i only just got this car and probley gonna find it hard to sell if no one likes them!

heres the link.. quite a few UK sellers sell this part if u search the part number.. im thinking of trying it and share this info with others trying to find info on alloy hubs, and i can let u all know how the car handles more than 1 jump with out falling apart..

front hubs:

http://www.wheelspin....co.uk/i/64537/

rear hubs:

http://www.wheelspin....co.uk/i/64539/

would be good to see if any 1 else has allready tryed it but from what ive read so far every 1 just gave up with it within minutes lol!

im thinking of trying the front hubs first and see what happens from there!

Edit: i found these's hubs cus i found a pic of some 1 selling a BSD ep8 with brand new alloy hubs with it and saw ftx on the packet so thats how i found them, but as said didnt find this info from some 1 else saying it or any 1 trying it.. so alittle confused but the part does look the part ! link below where i saw the pic of the hubs with an ep8

My Son (Nomsicle on here) has one of these, it's great fun and very quick, bit yeah the hubs are a weak spot. When I replaced the plastic ones on his I boiled them first and they seem to be holding up. Good to know that there are alloy upgrades easily available though :good:

well im guessing 1 of the cars is a copy / clone as the ftx looks the same, just like the fg cars, u got clones etc.. and few bits diffrent but the drive, and arm and hub set etc is the same and u can get alloy parts for the ftx, and from what i read up no one has posted on any forum about alloy parts for the ftx fitting the bsd ep8, either no one rechearched aneff and gave up or i dunno.. but im gonna try and and will update more on this, may even start a thread on this and im sure some 1 has a ep8 laying about and this could make this car alot better by people knowing theres a part out there for this car! as i was so gutted last nite reading up every 1 saying how crap the ep8 is for the weak plastic, and im sure the alloy hubs should fix the problem!
