The pipe is one of these:- http://www.modelspor...on&ItemID=18718 No idea if they're any good but it came with the roller and is in sparkly new condition so left it on. I've got a Hong Nor Truggy pipe which I might try out, but the exhaust would come out sideways rather than down, so maybe not ideal but prob have a bit more oomph.

The shocks I've got are the same as yours by the looks of it and not threaded, just have upgraded springs. No idea what weight the oil is but damping is pretty good. Really need some spacers for them though, anyone got any kicking about..? :whistling:

hmm i might have spacers. i think only reeeeally small ones left tho. that will be why your hanling is dodgy then.

that ribbed pipe is rubbish from what ive read. ive had really good luck with the STS 2027 pipe. a certain modelshop that isnt modelsport have them in there clearance bit at the mo pretty cheap, i can pm you a link if you like.

the hong nor one will be a big improvement on that ribbed, they are meant to restrict it more than anything. bang the hong nor on there, im thinking about putting my JP-4 on there. you will just have to put it kinda upside down, and make a coat-hanger engine mount like mine :)

The main prob with the HN pipe is that it won't fit onto the standard exhaust coupling, as it has the flange bit where the springs normally fix on it.. I'd have to use the whole exhaust system from the engine which would mean it firing sideways, otherwise the springs wouldn't be able to be put in place to hold it all together. Guess thats not such a biggy, but while the engine is being tuned the rear tires are going to get a good soaking with fuel!

i think the reason its going sideways is because you have the header upsidedown. if you look, it has a flat side on one side and not the other? where the header meets the exhaust port. trusty file/dremel will sort that right out. if you look at US sites like rcuniverse or savagecentral thats exactly what they do....

The header pipe that comes with the HN has 3 holes for the springs that secure it to the main pipe, and if you put it on any otherway than it's supposed to then it either fires up into he vehicle or down into the chassis... The end which fixes to the engine has got 4 holes which are in pairs on 2 of the corners of the flange, so it'd be difficult to get them mixed up!

Cheers mate,

yeah its a Blitz shell, i've not got the x roll cage so i don't know if it'll fit properly.

I had to do some minor modding on the wheel arches of the shell and i have some 1 inch Nova wheel extenders in the post just to make sure there is no rub. I also purposely went for low profile tyre(Hole Shot). The Blitz bodies are uber wide so i reckon your lst socks would be orite.

I can't start it with the lid on but i'm sure you could cut away a hole ine back if you wanted to, its a sturdy shell.

Shouldn't think that there would be a problem with the wheelie bar but don't quote me on that.

Nah mate, none so far i've not had a real good run with it since i lowered it though, i tend to run it on fairly flat surfaces, theres no where round me to proper go bashing (that i have found yet anyway!) I have done a few simple test's like dropping it from a foot or so in the air at different angles, the suspension is quite stiff but absorbs the hits well. also they reach maximum compression about 10 mm before hitting the floor.

I just found a track on an unused airfield which has jumps etc, not been down to it yet so i'll let you know when i do.
