My pride and joy
Onr off Tubedigger chassis, MCD front arms with FG hubs, Baja wheels, home-made servo tray and exhaust, Smartech Spider rear end, 26cc CY motor, Uber RC filter with outerwear. And it's the colour of bananas which are healthy and tasty too.
The mud comes courtesy of the local park..because nice cars should get driven too!
edit..
Or you could consider BRIAN.....

Built my my youngest son for a school science project. Has a half-tracked propulsion system driven by an old leccy screwdriver, machanical speed contoller and single front wheel steering. Doesn;t move fast...but it does move! 27Mhz radio gear. It has a drivers seat... Now...how many 2 foot long RC snails do YOU know of

Nitro, so what is that? Did it start out as a Baja? Or did you build it from the ground up with nothing but hop-ups? It looks totally awesome, it has to be one of the toughest rigs around? Does it actually break? How much does it weigh?

MrClive...it actually started off life as a Smartech Spider.....a clone of the FG Marder. The only part of the car that is still 'stock' though is the rear drivetrain and suspension arms. The chassis is welded 10mm tube courtesy of Tubedigger. The front end was MCD parts from my spares pile. Front shocks are Smartech with MCD forks. Rear shocks are MCD. HPI wheel adaptors and HPI Baja wheels. Pipe is homemade, as is the radio tray. The drivetrain is FG rather than clone and steel gears are fitted. I kept the gear cover, though, as the gears were a bit exposed! There is a complete build thread tucked away in teh petrol section. Search for 'project sandrail' and you can see it take shape.
It is tough
But I broke it today! Had it screaming along today, but as I braked for a turn, she hit a bump and flipped. Cartwheeld a few times and ripped out a shock end. Easy to fix as I have spares...but I am also going to make some ally ones. Just ordered some 20mmx5mm ally bar from E-Bay and will cut some to suit. The MCD shock ends were well known for pulling out in a roll. There are no limiters so it over extends the lower arms. Will attend to that as well
But...I built it to use, not to stick on a shelf.

Just thought I'd add this one too, it's Craigs Slash 4x4 making an awkward landing!

Well it looks superb and yeah, why build em if you ain't gonna drive em?
