Visit to the National Railway Museum

Despite the snow, I had some money and felt compelled to do something other than sit on my butt all day so decided to go to the NRM with my sister and my half brother's 2 year old brother called Alfie. It was a nice visit, and I was very impressed with the collection, particularly the LNER A4 Mallard, my favourite steam locomotive. Beautiful. I was also impressed with the amount of live steam models on display, it reminded me of the period in which I used to drive them at the West Riding Small Locomotive Society. Below is a link to the album of the photos I took, with a few of my favourites posted. Apologies for the quality (or lack of it), these photos were taken with my phone (5MP Samsung Galaxy Ace) as my camera is currently in storage for house refurb.

I have loads of hobby's, and its half were i have been hiding recently. Some people may thinks its sad but as i was brought up in it and saw so many i grow to love them

Well this is my Model train set I model in 00 Gauge

So far im up to this stage

I just need to finish wiring it up

This is what it looks like not much to look at mostly still in the basic testing stages

The board is 4ft long and 2ft wide though on side is 8ft long as i added some extra space for a hidden storage yard.

Ill post pictures of my Trains once i have it back down again
