    Lipo charging

Charging at 7a is ok for the occasional charge (I mean occasional) I certainly wouldn't do it regularly, get in the habbit of charging the night before even if its raining the next day and you cant go out they will be fine for a couple of weeks or more, some people will disagree with this all I can say is ive done this, some of my Lipo's are 3 tears old and are fine. As has been said charge yours at 5.6a for the 5000 and 5.6 for the 5600, I also balance charge mine every time this is more habit that a necessity balance charging does take slightly longer depending how out of balance your lipo's are you could normal charge and just do a balance charge every 5 cycles or so. What ever your running your Lipo's in make sure the ESC is set for Lipo and LVC is set, get your self a battery checker I try never to take mine below 20% if that means getting another Lipo to be able to stay out and play so be it they will last for years.
  3. Couldn't help myself having buyitus I had to get one, couldn't find the guy on oOple so didn't save a few pennies. Thanks for the heads up Capri-boy
  4. I would say the £6 covers you for the whole days racing
  5. You don't say where your going to race or what class. As far as BRCA insurance follow the link its £17 for the year, you will usually need this before you can race, then you pay a race fee to your club £10 per race seems an awful lot its probably £10 for a days racing. https://www.brca.org/join

    Insurance

    Always good to have IMHO
  7. Merry Christmas all, hope Santa brought all you wished for.
  8. Thanks for the detailed fix Deafty. Not as easy a fix as I thought/hoped, I think what I will do for now is refill the diff and see what happens. Do you think 7k front and 5k rear would be to heavy. I might give it a try see how it runs, as its less lightly to leak might be a better option for me. I don't feel confident dremeling the out drives and what not. My hands are not as dextrous as they once were.
  9. The diff leak mod what is it ? another shim or two on the o rings either side of the out drives inside the diff. My rear sprung a leak, when I put more oil in I want to do it properly so it doesn't leak again
  10. Thanks for replying evssv... Funny just read about shaving a mm off each end. I'll put my dremel to good use tomorrow, Would have thought Losi would have made them a little shorter though, buy hey ho these things things are sent to try us.
  11. Seems the slightest bump to the front end and the front centre dog bone bends, reading forums its because of chassis flex and limited clearance in the drive cups that the dog bone sits in. It's got front and rear chassis braces on already. Anyone else having this problem is there another dog bone that fits that is slightly shorter. If you did have this problem how did you fix it. Any help appreciated.....Thanks
  12. Yea tell him to bin it, sounds like the last lipo it charged was its last, not worth mucking about trying to fix it.
  13. That's all there is to it though isn't it. Plug the charger into the mains LED's go from red to green showing the charger is working correctly, plug in lipo either 2 or 3's port LED's will now turn red and go green when lipo is charged. That's the way I'm reading it, if its not doing that maybe a problem with it.
