  1. they were useless in the post office. i asked them the guidelines and they just told me to read the pamphlet. Seems that they dont even know!
  2. Now sold! many thanks for the interest! If a mod could lock down please
  3. does it need to be packaged seperately within the chassis? or insulating tape around the terminals and balance plug, and strap it down like i would if i were using it sort of thing?
  4. hey guys. im trying to sell one of my rc cars with the lipo battery i purchased for it, however i dont want the item to be destroyed for me getting it wrong. Is it possible to send the battery with the car or not? theres so much rules and guidelines pertaining to the postage of lithium batteries in general that its actually confusing. I think i can send it, as long as its contained within the item that it powers, however, how does this apply to RC cars? Mobile phones i can understand. But its a much higher, more powerful unit in our rc cars?! This is the bumph they list for batteries that arent connected
  5. Hey guys. Had this up for sale not so long ago as a roller. Ive put my 4s setup into it, and its now up for sale. I purchased it in 2016 roughly as a roller from modelsport and since ive used it twice. Only on this 4s setup that comes installed. Ive had a few rc's and ive always defaulted to the others before this one. And as of late, my savage XL flux has come into action, again ive not paid any attention to this. Spends more time gathering dust, so would rather it be used by someone. These are rare to find and as such, ive no idea what to ask for it. But i have to put up a price. £350 posted. (Insured posted) Only thing its missing is a charger for the lipo battery. This is in near mint condition as youll be able to see by the pictures. Comes with - Hobao Hyper SSTE chassis (in original box) WP-SC8 4s 120a Hobbywing ESC (installed, on deans) Trackstar 2350kv 4pole brushless motor. (installed) 17/48 gearing (installed) (can change this to a 15t pinion at the buyers request) Turnigy HeavyDuty 4s 5000mah lipo (on deans) Radiolink RC3S 2.4G transmitter and R4EH-H receiver. (installed and configured end points etc) More pics can be found (HERE)
  6. sorry fella, bought new in the end. was no replies wasnt for me, else i would have waited.
  7. haha! i was peeved when i saw the bloody email from hobbyking this morning. put the in order 2 days ago! £53 that charger was then!! had a nice chat with someone online in HK and they cancelled the order and put it through with the new promotions. i missed out a trick though, as the batteries were previously on offer, and aren't on this... was trying to sort it out in work on my mobile without the boss seeing me!! Still saved myself £14.
  8. in fairness, im a plonker. Still trolling through the chargers i came across the reaktor versions. Not heard much on these, however they have both the watts and amps. (and rather inexpensive still) https://hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-reaktor-250w-10a-1-6s-balance-charger.html and https://hobbyking.com/en_us/0620-20a-300w-balance-charger-version-2.html i dont mind paying a little more if one is better than the other sort of thing. i know 20amps will run probably everything i have without a worry, and i am extremely tempted by it. but with two 2s batteries etc, the cost starts ramping up a little. I do have a 350w powersupply, same as https://hobbyking.com/en_us/hobbyking-350w-25a-power-supply-100v-120v.html but a 240v version. I was thinking of running 2 chargers, but im starting to get on edge that the old batteries and charger is starting to get a little tired. They both are roughly 3-4 years old now. Batteries have only had about 20-30 charges on them. Ive never looked into charging in series... still on 4s that little turnigy takes a good while to fully balance charge my 5000mah 4s pack. And thus has brought on this looking to update some stuff. ill give charging the one cell a go. worth a shot i guess. no harm in trying. Oh and thanks for the responses guys! theres strong info there ive learnt.
  9. Hey guys. Im not normally one to ask as ill research loads first. but confused..... To cut a long story short, I have a savage XL flux, and i have nero battery boxes on it, so i have more room than im used to. I recently tried charging my 2x turnigy 2s 5000mah packs up, and one of them wouldnt balance at all after 3 hours of the charger trying. 1 cell hit the norm 4.2v, the other stopped at 4.0v, so its destined for the bin. (figuratively speaking) These are literally 3 years old now. Im not looking at spending a fortune, but i do want the savage back up and running. So on to my questions. 1- Charger. I have a turnigy accucel 6 50w (6a). its brilliant and has been with me years. but its time to upgrade (it struggles with my 4s 5000mah pack. brings my amps in to about 3.5a ish iirc) I would like to charge the two 2s batterys at the same time. I do like the turnigy chargers, so ill stick with them (very inexpensive also). So on a balance board and say 2s 5000's, what would be the better out of these 2? Bearing in mine one is less amps but more watts? and vice versa. i cant tell if the watts would be better for 2 batteries, or the amps? https://hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-accucel-6-80w-10a-balancer-charger-lihv-capable.html https://hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-accucel-8-150w-7a-balancer-charger.html 2- Balance board Is this going to do the required job? Ive never used a balance board, always charged them up seperately, but they take roughly 50 mins to charge each normally, trying to cut this time down without going above the 1c rate. https://www.modelsport.co.uk/etronix-paraboard-w-xt-60-connector-xh-balance/rc-car-products/373994 3- Also how do i safely go about draining these packs to make them safe for the bin? I somewhat understand about the salt bath...or is that old news? Many thanks for any help you can give. Im just confused with the numbers...
  10. Hey guys, does anyone happen to have any of these bits spare laying around Im after:- 2 posts (circled on the right) 4 clips (circled on the left) Thanks
  11. was running a smaller mid tank. 125cc trophy truggy tank instead of the 160 savage. but I if I remember correct, it was somewhere near 3 full tanks, by the time it got up to temp and then shut off. cooled and started up again a few times. But definately no more than 5 tanks.
  12. hey guys, making my savage xl brushless so selling up on some of the parts that arent going to be needed anymore. Whole lot im looking for £200 all in delivered and fee's covered. (or a swap for some 4-6s 120-150amp brushless esc+motor. must be suitable for 1/8th) LRP.32 spec with pullstarter, clutch and hardened bell. Savage 3 speed, with reverse module and custom made metal first gear as pictured. Metal 47t spur gear. (cant remember brand) looks like robinsons Motor mount, and plate. Plate has crack, but i have a spare savage purple that will come with package. Savox 1258 servo for throttle and brake. Fastrax Exhaust. Spare fuel hose, 2 spare glow plugs. (one in engine working perfectly) I do have XL TVP's also but they have been drilled in places for mid tank modding etc. But should you want these to sweeten the deal, im willing to part with them in the price. The perfect powerhouse drop in package for HPI savages. More background on the engine. LRP run in process completed (tempreture run in). After run oil used, and sat up for roughly a year. Stored indoors. It upset neighbours so stopped using, and thus the brushless build instead. Thats really it. Ive never started to tune it, its never run hot. Its never had death. Still on factory set needles. I can on request get the engine running on a vid if it helps the sale. More pics available HERE Thanks for looking.
  13. ill send you a pm.
