  1. hi guys, im new to rc nitro so im sorry if this sounds a bit dumb. my ts4n wont engage second gear. When ive looked at the clutch for the second gear all seems fine, the spring loaded clutch arm is there and i can manually pull it out easily. the bb, spring and grub screw are all in place. ive even tried loosening the grub screw so it will engage at lower rpm but still nothing. There is a steel dish on the second gear itself which the clutch arm is supposed to expand out into and therefor engage the gear, but what is confusing me is a pin located in this dish. im not sure if the person who had it before me has put the clutch on the wrong way round on the shaft because one way the clutch arm will just rub agaist the pin and the other way it would hit the side of the pin and engage that way. which way is correct? i really hope this makes sence, lol its hard to explain. any help would be much appreiciated, thanks in advance.
  2. i get ya peeps, thanx for that, im new to nitro rc and have a lot to learn.lol
  3. hi guys, im running a ts4n with a fantom fr15 engine. just taken it to the local car park for a spin and the left side of the car is covered in thick black oily sut after about 20 mins. the engine seems well in tune ie; there is no excessive smoke or unspent nitro coming from the exhaust and the throttle responce is good low and high. also 2cnd gear doesnt seem to be engaging but im not sure if that is related, i think that may just be the adjustment screw. But if anyone could explain this sut or let me know if its normal it would be greatley appreiciated. thanx in advance.
  4. brilliant, thanx for your help peeps. thats great news. just have to wangle it with the missus.lol
  5. Hi guys, sorry if ive posted in the wrong spot im new to the forum. lol. Ive just bought a thundertiger ts4n pro off a freind, it came with all radio gear, servos and a fantom fr15 engine, after a full strip, re-grease and rebuild its going really well. The only problem i have is the bodyshell that came with it is really tatty. does anybody know what shell size thease cars use? ive seen a 66 mustang which would look great but its only available in 200 mm. im just not sure if the car is 200 or 190 mm. Any help would be greatley apprecieated. Thanx in advance.
