  1. Should I answer.co.UK - brilliant for checking then adding nuisance numbers to your auto reject list! Saved myself from receiving a heap of spam relating to accidents I've never had and pensions I don't need reviewing!

      We did see it....

If I don't recognise a number/shows as private or withheld, I'll not answer. They will leave a voicemail if anyone important.

If I've nothing better to do, I enjoy stringing the PC, broadband supplier etc. people along. Reckon to follow their instructions and be suitably impressed with the coded messages that confirm that my machine is infected. Then, when it gets to the point when they are wanting to give them access to your machine, I tell them that there is a message saying that I have a dick-head on the phone that thinks I am as stupid as him. Tell him that some people think people like him should be hung, but that I think they should be castrated first. They still keep trying to convince you they are doing you a favour! Eventually, they get very abusive for wasting their time!

Read about a chap who, upon receiving a spam call, advised said caller that if they called again, he would bill them for his wasted time. They did ring again, he let them rattle on for many, many minutes, terminated the call and billed them for £195.

The company refused to pay, he took them to small claims court and won. He provided recorded evidence of both phone calls, and the magistrate ruled that as the company had been informed of his intent to charge if they called back, by doing so they had entered into a verbal contract and owed him accordingly.
