  1. Thanks for the replies guys, I was looking at the power HD one but wasn't sure how good it was, I do like the savox ones now I'll go have a look at them aswell!
  2. Hello Folks Have been away from RC for a while but now the good weather is coming in I thought I'd blow the dust off the RC's. The bit of help I'm looking for is with the yeti, I'm sure yous are all aware that the XL is quite a big truck but uses 10th scale servos, so I was wondering if anyone knows of a good 10th scale servo for the yeti or even better if someone has came across a way of fitting a 5th scale servo into one. Secondly is the mini 8ight T, I swapped over the pinion and went to a 3s got a couple runs out of it then the spur gear decided to strip, I've had a look for hardened steel ones but havent came across anything yet. Was hoping maybe someone on here has found one at reasonable money and would point me in the right direction. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks Chris
  3. Are you finding parts are breaking rather to easily?

      You got one Barker?

  5. Well folks, bit of an update on this thing, Currently running this combo in it but cant remember what kv the motor is, its either 3400 or 3800, and with a 16T pinion if I remember correctly. http://www.funshobby.com/index.php/powerplants/power-combo/pro-1-10-short-course-racing-motor-esc-combo-incl-ts-sc401v2-wp-sc-8.html Also with these batteries, fits nicely so they do http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=17247e batteries over all I am rather happy with it, Ive broke both A arms and the rear spoiler, A arms broke from a rather slight tap off a kerb and the other one was a tap off a wall, so some bits seem a wee bit weak. with the power combo i have in it i haven't managed full throttle with it as its stupid fast, gonna go to a big car park at the weekend and see what it does might also strap my old Blackberry to it and put the gps app on it to see what speed i can get outta it. haven't tried jumping it yet as i fear alot more parts might start to break but if i get a chance I'll give it ago lol anyway so far so good, for the meantime anyway
  6. Well chuffed with how the FTX Viper is running atm!

  7. Ah it was off ebay from china, heres the link http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/140854339472?txnId=937164661004 Its quite good for the money
  8. See for the price I think its a steal, handles the BL setup I put in it rather well aswell
  9. Bit of a wee update folks My light kit came the day so thought i'd install it, heres some pixs!
  10. So far i haven't had any problems apart from the spoiler breaking but thats only cosmetic its a lot quicker now I have the BL system in it even though it wasnt the one I wanted to fit. I'll see during the week if i have time I'll take it out some where, were i'm able to jump it and see how it gets on. So far so good anyway
  11. Well me being me can't contain myself so imma stick my brushless setup into it the day and give it a blast will report back later also one note the rear spoiler is very flimsy already cracked it in half
  12. For anyone who is interested theres afew more shots, put the dash part in as well might paint it at some point to give it a better look but for now i'm happy enough with it
  13. Like I said i just went for the brushed one as i have a Tenshock SC401 v2 sitting here but i'll get some use outta the brushed motor til i either break something or get bored and want more speed
  14. ah to sure its a 550 size motor in the viper if i remember correctly but i don't see why they'd put a smaller motor in the sidewinder, there both 8th scale arent they?
  15. not sure havent seen any spares about for it yet but they give you a book with all the part numbers for all the bits, i'd of thought they'd be out soon
