  1. Price aside, it is good to see the RTR version come with belted tyres. Essential for 8S shenanigans really.
  2. Folks I've been driving my Tekno EB410 (original version) and I'd like to fit some new wheels and tyres for on-road use. I tried some generic 12mm hex road wheels from my LC Racing EMB truggy (which uses generic 1:10 4WD buggy wheels) and although the wheel hexes fit and the offset is okay, the wheel material is too thick for the front wheel bolts to take. I can't seem to find wheels for it in the UK, but some places say that TLR22-4 wheels will work. Anyone know where to get some in the UK? Thanks
  3. Just to say I have a first and second refusal already. POstage is £7 Royal Mail Tracked 48 as it weighs 6kg with all the wheels.
  4. Folks Having to thin out my collection for the autumn comp crawler build, so looking for a good new home for my Losi Eight e 3.0. Bought this 2 years ago from a fellow forum member who had done the electric conversionand I have fitted a Mamba Monster 6s system. It also has an MG995 metal gear servo. It's an old one but a good one. I got it with a very snazzy bittydesign painted shell, and to keep that one clean I bought an LFR shell and painted it up a minty green colour. Check the pics. It's seen a lot of action but all in good working order. It is insance on 6s, wheelies on demand. You just need to fit a receiver of your choice and go bash! It could probably do with the shocks and diffs being stripped down, but it's all imperial hardware and I haven't got the stuff to do it! I have the box, manual and an extra 2 sets of road tyres (one new, one old, new pins are fitted and old pins are in the box) I'm looking for £50 plus cost of postage (£7 Royal Mail tracked 48 - 6kg with all wheels included) - Power system is easily worth twice that. Basically looking for a good new home. I won't split it, it has to sell all in one go, and I'd really prefer collection in person but I will post if that's to omuch trouble. Let me know if you have any questions. Pics follow...
  5. That looks so nice - amazing value for the kit. V tempted to get one to go with my EMB-TGH!
  6. Thanks. It's nice the UTB18 Capra but quite a lot of sheets for a little thing. I ended up getting a used Gen2 Torment for half the money of a Capra, and still enjoying it box stock 🙂 There should be more choice in mini comp crawlers - someone needs to plug the gap in the market.
  7. Folks I'm in the mood for a smallish bodiless comp crawler for the winter. Something small enough to be fun indoors when the weather is pants, or in the back garden when weather is better. Back in the day I had a 4WS GMade R1 - that was fun but a bit big and not as capable as the XR10 (which I should have bought at the time). I sold the R1 but did enjoy the build / conversion. In lockdown I built a TRX4 sport. Loved the build but flipped that too. Again a bit too big. I now have an Axial SCX24 - love it to bits as does my son. I could do the Furitek Scythe V2 conversion but I think I'd have to upgrade the motor too. Plus I'd like to keep the SCX24 as a scaler. What are my options for a smallish bodiless comp crawler in 2022? I want something more capable than anything that I have had so far. I like the looks of the ECX Temper Gen 2 which is 1:18. Just worried about swapping in 380 motor, ESC and RX when the chassis and axles mry not justify the upgrade cost. Other than the Temper, there only seem to be the Gmade R1 and the RC4WD bully as comp crawler kits you can buy from new. What would you suggest? Tnx
  8. Welcome back! If you miss the Muggy get a Kraton 🙂
  9. Nice maiden run! I got the EMB-TGH kit and built it in Lockdown 1. I have the older L6152 body whic h you can't get any more. Does the new bodyshell still fit with two clips near the front shock towers and one clip near the spur cover?
  10. Is it the same motor that was in the original XO-1?
  11. I quite like the Mad Max looks too. It even has LEDs for post apocalyptic driving at night. Agree they need to knock £100 off the price though.
  12. Nothing to see here over a Kraton EXB in my opinion. Wheelbase looks too short for the power, Centre diff isn't set up well enough to stop fronts ballooning. Battery tray looks fiddly. Body mount system will come loose after a few knocks on the head. But I do like that motor brace, and a bigger selection of truggies is always a good thing. I have 1:14, 1:10, 1:8 and 1:8+ truggies and love them all, maybe a bit too much 🙂
  13. I'm with Jari on this one. RTR prices have gone nuts since lockdown because RC Cars are fun thing to do on your own / with family. Tenacity DB is a nice bit of kit but it's not worth £500. My advice - 1 - Try and put money into bits that are going to last you a long time. A decent radio will last for ages and is so much niceer than the usual RTR rubbish. ESCs come and go but a decent brushless motor if looked after will also last ages too. 2 - Try and get the best deal you can on the 'bendable' bits. I picked up a Losi 8ight e-buggy from a forum member few months ago for couple of hundred quid and that was with a 4S power system. Admittedly I just wanted the roller and have since popped a 6S castle system into it, but the thing is tough as nails, and I am not going to cry if I smack it into something. N
