  1. It should start fine at the factory settings. Are you priming the engine before attempting a start? Also check the idle gap on your carb. It should be open about 1.5-2mm. Any less and it can have trouble maintaining an idle. Keep at it, the newer the engine the tighter everything is. It'll get easier!
  2. Got 'em prepped and ready to race tomorrow!
  3. Today the postie brought me my new racer - HB D2 Evo ๐Ÿค— Now the small task of turning this box of bits into a running car by the first round of the summer series on Sunday๐Ÿซฃ
  4. That's the plan! And maybe stick some proper truggy rubber on and send her around the 1/8 track ๐Ÿ˜Ž Hopefully see you there soon now the weather's starting to turn! ๐Ÿคž
  5. HPI Trophy Truggy 4.6 Nitro. Needs a bit of work to get it up to my standard but that's most of the fun for me ๐Ÿ™‚
  6. Another retro nitro I wanted back in the day! HPI MT2 ๐Ÿ™‚
  7. Got a new shell sprayed up for the D418 ๐Ÿ™‚
  8. Thereโ€™s a blast from the past, nice score! Hows the parts availability?
  9. Try using a third party hosting site such as Flickr
  10. The buggy i'll be running in 4WD this year. HB D418:
  11. Yep i just rebuilt all the shocks and gave them a good clean while i was there - they seem to be holding up well and are much smoother than the stock shocks! Very pleased with it, just don't get to run it enough! Very quiet Alex, it can be a little busier during half term or the week before a big event but generally there's only a handful of people midweek Fingers crossed for drier weather, i should've taken the boat yesterday! Hope you enjoy, i'll be working unfortunately!
  12. Ran the Savage X at our club's basher track. Pouring rain, but well worth it!
  13. Welcome! I'd recommend heading down to the club and seeing what the majority are running - it'll most likely be the most reliable and best supported. It's also very much budget dependant - If you're just getting started then i'd buy a second hand chassis as a new one will be upwards of ยฃ600 before engine and electrics. You'd have to factor in replacing any worn parts on the second had one though. If it has to be new, then i'd be tempted by one of these: https://www.modelsport.co.uk/product/kyosho-inferno-mp9-tki4-v2-18-rc-nitro-readyset-wke21sp-engine-1332004 Slap a set of proper race tyres on it and you can't do much better if starting out!
